Voice-over Contest

Thank you for your interest in JOBS.FOA.PLUS weekly audiobook narration/voice-over contest. These terms of use provides important information regarding the Contest so please read them carefully.

Short description: 300-600 word piece will be provided for narration on Tuesdays. All submissions are open for public voting till Sunday afternoon. Sooner you turn in your entry, the more time you will have to collect votes. Top 3 voice actors from this preliminary round will advance to the final round of ~3600 word entry. These 3 entries will then contest till Tuesday afternoon. Winner will be announced along with a new material for the next contest of the week.

The narration contest (Contest) is operated and promoted by FOA.PLUS (Future of Authoring, Apprenticeship & Academia) By entering this Contest, you agree to these terms of use.

1. The Contest

Every Tuesday, FOA.PLUS will send out an email with 300-600 word narration piece for the preliminary round.

Voice actors will then have till Saturday/Sunday to turn in your audio file in ACX standards for the preliminary round. However, sooner you turn in your work the more time you will have to accumulate votes from the public. If, in case, there is a tie or no votes counted, FOA.PLUS holds the right to determine the winner of the preliminary round.

Your submission will be published on all of our social media platforms for the public to vote. You can share our posts of your entry with your family and friends so they can vote by liking, commenting and sharing.

On Sundays, the top 3 most voted voice actors from the preliminary round will have the rest of the chapter (1.5-3k words) to compete for the chance to win the contest.

Final round entries will have till the following Tuesday to collect votes and the winner will be announced along with the reading material for the new contest of the week…

FOA.PLUS is not responsible for the content submitted to the Contest.

2. The Prize

The prize for the winner of the contest is $50 USD, to be delivered via PayPal

There is no alternative prize and prizes are not transferable. We may alter arrangements or prizes at our sole discretion. Any prize not collected will be forfeited.

3. Entering the Contest

All Entries must be in ACX standard and must not infringe the rights of any other party. FOA.PLUS accepts no responsibility if entrants ignore these Terms of Use, and entrants agree to indemnify FOA.PLUS against any claim by any third party arising from any breach of these terms of use.

While submissions can include mature themes and language, submissions must not contain defamatory, obscene, graphic, explicit, offensive, or any other such unsuitable material. FOA.PLUS reserves the right to disqualify Entries containing such matter.

Each entrant retains the copyright to their entry but grants, represents, and warrants a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, publish, and otherwise use the entry on any platforms, in accordance with these Terms of Use, and as otherwise necessary to fulfill the delivery of the prize and facilitation of the Contest.

If your entry is selected as Winner, you may still publish the work elsewhere, but the publication must include:

  • the relevant reading material;
  • acknowledgment to FOA.PLUS for providing the reading material that inspired the narration.
    This acknowledgment should be in the form of a mention, and in the case of a digital publication, a “dofollow” link back to https://foa.plus/narration/.

By submitting an entry, you agree that FOA.PLUS may at its sole discretion edit, adapt, abridge, or translate the entry for the purposes listed in these terms and conditions.

You grant permission to FOA.PLUS to use your name and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval.
